CML Desktop Node Configuration Persistence
In Cisco Modeling Labs (CML), whether using the free tier or a purchased version, configurations on a desktop device must be applied to the startup configuration to be saved. Once a device boots up, the configuration is locked.
Under the config tab, users can observe this setup. Any configuration changes made while the node is active will only exist during that session. To make them persistent, the desktop node must be shut down, wiped, and the configuration edited under the config tab.
For example, to make commands like ifconfig
a part of the initial setup, they should be added to the startup configuration.
