BGP - The BGP table vs the Routing table
The BGP table is a construct that contains information about all BGP routes a router has learned. It uses specific rules, such as comparing BGP attributes to determine the best path for each destination. This best path is then considered as a candidate for installation in the routing table using a specific process for populating the routing table.
