cisco ios cli show command double pipe
Cisco IOS CLI Filtering show commands does not support "double piping".
For example, let's say you want to find all drops on your interfaces:
SW1#show interface | include Total output drops: Input queue: 0/375/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0 Input queue: 0/375/0/1 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 5435 Input queue: 0/375/0/10 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 998 Input queue: 0/375/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 787 Input queue: 0/375/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0 Input queue: 0/375/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0 Input queue: 0/375/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0 Input queue: 0/375/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0 Input queue: 0/375/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
It might be nice if you could do this:
SW1#sh int | include Total output drops | exclude 0
Unfortunately, this doesn't work.
Keep in mind you can use regular expressions. These are powerful and allow you to filter anything you need. For complex regular expressions, you can use these tools: regular expressions testing.
Here is a quick example:
SW1#sh int | include Total output drops: [1-9] Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 8687 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 1436 Input queue: 0/2000/0/9 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 30 Input queue: 0/2000/0/30 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 76587 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 1046 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 27462 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 201 Input queue: 0/2000/0/11 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 2165 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 3654 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 160322 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 95379 Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 3643
