IPv6 EUI-64 host address configuration method

EUI-64 (Extended Unique Identifier) is a method we can use to automatically configure IPv6 host addresses. An IPv6 device will use the 48-bit MAC address of its interface to generate a unique 64-bit interface ID.

The EUI-64 method can be used to generate either link-local addresses or global unicast addresses.

The EUI-64 method of assigning IPv6 addresses is not generally recommended due to several security issues.
