Very-high-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL)

Very-high-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) is a series of ADSL technologies that deliver broadband connectivity to the business or the residence over a single copper pair. Unlike ADSL, these technologies exceed 24 Mbps speeds, however, like ADSL, they too are asymmetric.

There are several versions that deliver different speeds:

  • VDSL - up to 52 Mbps download and 16 Mbps upload
  • VDSL2 - up to 200 Mbps download and 16 Mbps upload
