OSPF - LSA Max Age

The OSPF LSA maximum age time is a predefined time of 60 minutes (3600 seconds) that is defined within the OSFP RFC as MaxAge. This is the maximum age an LSA can attain within the LSDB. After this interval, the LSA will be purged from the LSDB. The MaxAge time is reset every time an LSA is received.

The MaxAge along with the LSRefreshTime value are integral parts of the OSPF LSA and LSDB flooding process.
