PBR - Policy Based Routing


When employing policy-based [routing](/routing) (PBR), the `set ip next-hop verify-availability` command can be used to verify the reachability of the next hop of a [Route-map](/route-map) before the router performs policy routing to that next hop.  This is achieved either using CDP or using object tracking.
