Policy Based Routing acts on incoming traffic

Policy-based routing is applied on an interface using the command ip policy route-map. Incoming traffic on that interface is run through the configured PBR route map before being examined by the routing table.

Any matching traffic will be policy base routed. Any traffic that does not match will be routed using the routing table.

PBR works the same way for SVI interfaces as well as physical interfaces.
